CITY MANAGER
Salary DOQ. With a dynamic and multi-cultural population of over 290,000, the City of Stockton, located 83 miles east of San Francisco and 45 miles south of Sacramento, is California’s 13th largest city. Responsible for the administration of all City departments, the City Manager directs the implementation of City programs in accordance with City Council policies, the City Charter, the Municipal Code, and provides leadership for efficient and effective municipal services for the community. The City has a $241.2 million budget for fiscal year 2009/10, with approximately 1,506 FTEs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree is desirable) and previous experience as a City Manager in a comparable, diverse, city is desirable.
